Brittie Cares & BUILT - This Month We're Supporting Women and Girls at The Road Home.
Brittie Cares x BUILT | Beauty Beyond Barriers
Through Brittie Cares, we support non-profit organizations working to break down barriers and create greater access to care, dignity, safety, and opportunity for women and girls. This month, Brittie Cares is partnering with BUILT to send care packages to the women and girls at The Road Home.
The Road Home supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our local community, helping connect them with shelter, resources, supportive services, and pathways toward stable housing.
Why The Road Home
What started in the 1920s as the Salt Lake City chapter of Travelers' Aid has evolved into one of the most comprehensive homeless services organizations in the region, showing up decade after decade because the need never goes away.
Today, The Road Home operates with a clear mission: to help people step out of homelessness and back into the community.
But it's not just about emergency shelter. The Road Home understands that homelessness is complex. It's layered with trauma, mental health crises, job loss, family breakdown, and systemic barriers. So their approach is layered to meeting people where they are and walking with them toward stability.
What The Road Home Does
The Road Home operates across multiple interconnected programs designed to meet the full spectrum of need:
Emergency Shelter Resource Centers
Immediate safety and shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Supportive staff available 24/7, providing not just a bed but compassion, connection, and stabilization.
Case Management & Supportive Services
One-on-one support addressing the root causes holding people back. Employment assistance. Mental health resources. Substance abuse support. Legal aid. Connection to healthcare. Whatever it takes to remove the barriers blocking the path forward.
Housing Programs
The Road Home recognizes that shelter is temporary but housing is transformative. They help people move from the street into stable housing, then provide ongoing support to ensure they stay housed. Because once you have a safe place to sleep, you can actually start to heal.
Medically Vulnerable People (MVP) Program
Specialized intensive support for people with the most complex health and social needs—those who fall through the cracks of traditional services.
The result: In 2025 alone, The Road Home directly served hundreds of people. But numbers don't capture the real impact—the teenager who moved into her first apartment, the mother who got her kids back, the woman who found stable employment and her self-respect along with it.
This Month’s Care Packages
Together with BUILT, we’ve creating care packages for women and girls at The Road Home filled with a few things meant to nourish, comfort, and remind each recipient that she deserves to be cared for, too.
Each care package includes:
A Brittie Barrier Repair Mask
A Brittie Barrier Repair Peptide Serum
4 BUILT Protein Bars
A handwritten note

A Special Thank You to BUILT
This care package initiative wouldn't be possible without BUILT. They generously donated a significant number of protein bars to include in each package—nutrition and fuel for women and girls who need it most.
BUILT made it possible for us to send practical nutrition—something that matters deeply to women focused on just getting through the day.
We're grateful for partners like BUILT. Who see a need and respond. Who believe that the women and girls at The Road Home deserve care and support.
